As with any purchase, it pays to shop around. That way, when you find the best deal you'll be confident in your decision.

If you can find someone in your area that deals in certificated diamonds, go and ask to see some stones. Be sure, however, that the diamonds are certificated, and that the certificates are from either EGL or GIA. These are the two most recognised diamond-certifying houses in the world, and the main ones whose grading we are confident in.

If you go to more than one dealer do not be surprised if the information changes slightly as they stress what they feel is the most important factor in regards to a diamond (normally based on their inventory). You will also be surprised how you are drawn to diamonds that are similar to others you have seen, or how one diamond always stays fixed in the back of your mind, no matter how many other diamonds you are shown.

Be sure you see all the different cuts (including proportions), colours, clarities and carat-weights.

See it all. Then come back to us with any questions you may have, or quotes you may have found that you would like to compare.

If you would like to make your decision making process easier, come back with a price range you would like to stay within. Once we have a price range, and an idea of what you are after, we can very often surprise you with what we can offer.

And lastly, if all of this investigative shopping is not for you, remember; this is what we are here for. Our job is to bring you the most for your money, and more importantly, the diamond you want and have imagined.
